7th Annual Women-Owned Business Day
Date and time
Location
Legislative Office Building
300 Capitol Avenue Hartford, CT 06106Description
The Women's Business Development Council, Connecticut's leading provider of entrepreneurial training, is hosting its 7th Annual Women-Owned Business Day at the State Capital.
Join over 150 business owners, community leaders and legislators as we examine the importance of being civically engaged, with particular attention paid to Connecticut’s Paid Family and Medical Leave Act and how it affects you and your business. This landmark legislation was impacted by activists with fierce opinions on both sides of the argument, and ultimately would not have passed were it not for the grassroots efforts of supporters who made their voices heard throughout #Hartford.
In this year that we celebrate the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote, it is important to remember that we all have within us the power to influence the laws that affect our daily lives and the future of our businesses. We just need to put that power to use!
